Not all climates are kind to your hair. You may be traveling somewhere humid and/or rainy. Another complication of travel: You may not have access to the regular products you use in your beauty routine. You may also be short on time!
I always travel with my own hair straightening iron. Although most hotels, resorts and cruise ships have blow dryers available for guests, I haven’t found any that offer this essential hair tool. (Fun fact: One study suggested that 40 percent of women use a hair straightening iron daily.)

I always worry about using the glasses in hotels or on cruise ships. It’s hard to tell if they actually have been sanitized and even well-intended housekeepers may inadvertently spray them with chemical cleaners if they are anywhere near a bathroom counter.
I always carry a small supply of 3-ounce Disposable Clear Plastic Drinking Cups to rinse my mouth or take my pills. They are lightweight, inexpensive and can be tucked in the corner of any suitcase.
