Regent Seven Seas Cruises, known for its ultra-luxury cruise experiences, is set to introduce a new class of ships with the launch of Seven Seas Prestige.

The steel-cutting ceremony for this groundbreaking vessel took place on October 21, 2025, at the Fincantieri-Marghera shipyard in Venice, Italy.

While many details about the new ship are still limited, Seven Seas Prestige is expected to offer unparalleled space and luxury, with one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in the industry. Despite being 40% larger than the line’s last build (Seven Seas Grandeur), the vessel will feature just 50 additional staterooms.

This first new ship in the Prestige Class builds upon the success of the line’s three Explorer Class ships, launched in 2016, 2020, and 2023, respectively. Seven Seas Prestige will offer new accommodation categories, new dining experiences, and a reimagination of the opulent Regent Suite.

Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager of Fincantieri Merchant Ships Division, expressed excitement about the partnership with Regent Seven Seas Cruises and emphasized that the vessel will elevate the standards for luxury cruising.

“We are proud to partner with Regent Seven Seas Cruises on what will be a revolutionary ship for the ultra-luxury cruise industry,” said Matarazzo in a press release.

With our long history of building first-class vessels and Regent’s heritage in delivering unrivaled luxury travel experiences, we are excited to begin work on Seven Seas Prestige.”

The ship, designed to accommodate up to 850 guests, will also be the largest that Fincantieri has built for Regent.

Regent is known for its bespoke service, spacious staterooms, tasteful decor, and gourmet cuisine. The line’s all-inclusive fares provide unlimited shore excursions, complimentary specialty restaurant dining, complimentary wines and spirits, unlimited internet access, free valet laundry service, crew gratuities, and more.

Although each new build seems to raise the bar, the cruise line is also known for its museum-quality contemporary art collection displayed on all the ships.

Scheduled for delivery in 2026, Seven Seas Prestige will join the line’s existing fleet of luxurious ships. The other six Regent vessels, which sail to more than 550 destinations globally, include Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Grandeur, Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Navigator, Seven Seas Splendor,  and Seven Seas Voyager.

Bookings are expected to open as early as May 2025. For more information and updates on Seven Seas Prestige, visit the Regent Seven Seas Cruises website.
