Aqua Vault Wireless Charge Card Portable Phone Charger

This wireless ChargeCard is a game-changer that appeared on Shark Tank. It sticks to the back of your phone magnetically—without any dangling cord—and begins charging instantly. (It also has a built-in micro USB and USB-C cable). Because it’s so thin (the thinnest one on the market right now) and lightweight (2.3 ounces), I hardly know it’s there when I use my phone.
When I travel, I’m constantly using my cell phone for directions, photos, and texts. I always keep this portable charger with me because it’s small enough to tuck in my wallet. It also makes a perfect gift to anyone who needs to use their phone reliably away from home or their hotel.

Vineyard Vines Breton Stripe Quarter Zip

Shown. in Nautical Navy, this is my husband’s absolute favorite travel shirt. It looks smart, is clean looking, and stays crisp.
Although lightweight, it takes the chill out of the air (especially on air-conditioned planes). Yet, because it’s moisture-wicking, he never sweats or overheats while wearing it. He layers it with a tee underneath if we are traveling in a cold climate.
It’s a great nautical look if you’re cruising but stylish enough to wear from breakfast to dinner in town. It comes in a rainbow of different patterns and colors.
What we loved about the Breton Stripe Saltwater Quarter Zip:
- It feels soft and comfortable whether worn layered or not.
- The quarter zip looks sharp, making it easy to take on and off.
- It’s machine washable and shows no signs of wear after many washes. It’s far easier to clean than a sweater.
- We’re not the only ones who love the quarter zip. It has more than 400 five-star reviews on the Vineyard Vines website.

If you are headed to a sunny climate, taking a cruise, or just want to look cool, you’ll love these high-quality Suenos sunglasses from Costa del Mar.
What we liked about the Costa sunglasses:

Addtam Travel Power Strip

Whether your vacation is on a cruise or at a hotel, this cleverly designed lay-flat power strip is convenient for charging all your electronics simultaneously. It is a must-have for a cruise enthusiast.
Simply plug it into any outlet. The surge protector and grounded outlets offer security so a power surge won’t damage your gadgets. The two USB ports can charge smartphones.
What we like about the Addtam power strip
- It’s compact and won’t take up unnecessary space. This is especially handy in small places like cruise ships or hotel rooms with tiny nightstands.
- The AC outlets are spaced extra wide with 2.4 inches between them, much larger than the standard 1.5-inch socket. This makes it work well with the bulky adapters that come with laptops and other electronic gadgets.
- Although compact, it has three regular outlets and four USB ports (2 USB C) that offer no-surge protection. One caveat: The charger only works with 110 current, so it won’t be as useful on trips to Europe.Caveat: The charger only works with 110 current, so it isn’t helpful for European travel.

Anyone who loves reading, writing, and traveling will love having a Kindle to take on their trips. Because travel so often entails “hurry up and wait,” especially at airports, it’s nice to have your personal library at your fingertips.

Red light therapy is popping up everywhere: spas, salons, gyms, and medical facilities. However, using it at home or on the road is far more convenient. I will take one of those wine bags, filled with a nice Argentina red.
Bring along two wine glasses, one for me and one for you! 🙂
Irene, love the curated selection! Neat retro camera and I have a shopping bag just like that! 😉 The multi device strip is reasonably priced and I think I need it. I traveling fairly often, although not glamorously like you. 🙂
My nest was emptied before yours. You’ll be doing more traveling so you better buy a strip soon:-)
Love your gift ideas Irene. That Belkin charger has been in my travel bag for years. Won\’t travel without it. I\’ve gotta get those wine travel bags. Thanks for sharing your best!
I’ve used Belkin products for years and they’ve been pretty reliable. I also like their design! 🙂
All great ideas! I already have the same power strip – it’s great. I liked the idea of bringing the washcloths, and am looking forward to trying the Serge Lutens perfume. Seems like the kind of scent I enjoy. Thanks!
Super list, Irene! I think I’d like that perfume, too. A soft natural scent is far less likely to offend others when travelling.
Love how you had such a variety of items. I use my Belkin charger all the time when I am travelling and I bought sea salts in the south of France to take back as a gift. (Wish I had kept it for myself). As for the wine bags, I can’t believe that for many years I would pack wine bottles in my luggage and only wrap them in one or two bags and a ton of clothes. After all those years, not one broken bottle, but now, I’m paranoid and had a similar inflatable wine bag for my travels.
Seems like we “accessorize” our travel in the same way!
Well, we gave up gift giving many years ago – somehow travel and Christmas just don’t mesh anymore at our house as we are usually flying somewhere (it is a great day to travel) but you’ve tempted me with both the scent and the charger so I just may have to do some shopping anyway!
I agree. Yes, as we of a certain age start to declutter and divest ourself of “stuff,” we are less apt to give or receive gifts. But sometimes, you realize there is someone you really want to acknowledge around the holidays. And sometimes, I want to reward myself! 🙂
Love this guide- you’ve given me such great ideas! Thanks!
