BOOKS & GEAR CONTESTS

Win a copy of the new Berlitz Cruising & Cruise Ships 2016 (contest ended)

October 8, 2015

The new Berlitz Cruising & Cruise Ships 2016 will be an excellent resource for any cruise or travel enthusiast.

If you’re going on your first cruise, thinking of trying a different cruise line, or want to find out the dirt about a new ship that has just been launched (or is about to be), you’ll want to get your hands on a copy of Douglas Ward’s latest guide: Berlitz Cruising & Cruise Ships 2016. The book is scheduled for release on November 1, 2015.

This authoritative guide, meticulously updated every year, is a virtual bible for anyone embarking on a cruise. More than 700 pages long, it offers detailed reviews of more than 275 ocean-going cruise vessels and grades them with a star-system in terms of service, food, entertainment and facilities so you can make a choice that fits with your own needs, preferences and style of travel.

Believe it or not, author Ward has now logged in 6000 days at sea, participated in more than 1000 cruises, and made 158 transatlantic crossings. He’s been called the “Sherlock Holmes” of the cruise industry.

In addition to providing answers about almost every aspect of cruising you can think of, the section of the guide that’s arranged alphabetically provides consumer-friendly information about nearly every cruise ship (both quantitative and qualitative). For the first time this year, the book provides expanded coverage of new cruise itineraries around Australia and the Pacific Ocean.

THE GIVEAWAY

The publisher has agreed to send one randomly selected reader of More Time To Travel a copy of the guide.

To enter the contest, leave a brief comment below mentioning your favorite cruise itinerary or the one that’s on your bucket list on or before November 3, 2015. The contest winner will be announced here on November 5.

(If you aren’t feeling lucky, the book is also available for purchase on Amazon.)

Disclosure: The publisher provided us with a copy of the guide for review and reference, and is sponsoring this giveaway.

Congratulations to Victoria K, the winner of this giveaway. She will be receiving a copy of the Berlitz 2016 Cruising and Cruise Ships Guide by Douglas Ward.

Any cruise that either stops or ends in New York. I’m fascinated by the city and absolutely love the bright lights of Times Square, not to mention the harbor and the iconic Statue of Liberty! 🙂

Queen Mary 2’s Transatlantic crossings are the best. All those days of choosing to do as much or as little as you want are a contrast to everyday life.
