If your name is Patricia, you can take advantage of this unique promotion from the Mexico Tourism Board.
Patricia, a potentially devastating Category 5 hurricane, swept through Mexico at the end of October; thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as expected and everyone was prepared. No one was hurt and property damage was minimal—but any natural disaster tends to be bad for tourism.
Hurricane Season in Mexico
The hurricane season in Mexico, when travelers and residents are at greatest risk, generally ends in November. But to show that Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit and Manzanillo are fully back in business and eager to welcome visitors, starting today the Mexico Tourism Board has launched a new campaign called Welcome Patricias to woo them back.
The Tourism Board enlisted Emmy-award winning actress Patricia Heaton (of Everyone Loves Raymond) to film television and digital spots announcing the campaign.
If your name is Patricia, you are eligible to win an all-inclusive vacation for you and a friend to visit this beautiful region of Mexico. Twenty-five lucky Patricias will have the chance to win a vacation for two, plus airfare and accommodations.
To enter (if your name is Patricia):
There are three ways to enter the contesst. Complete the entry form and upload a photo or video online showing you are just as ready for the trip as Mexico was prepared for the hurricane here or tweet or post your photo or video on Instagram using the hashtags #WelcomePatricias #Sweepstakes.
As always, be sure to read the fine print here.
Contest ends: December 31, 2015
I get lots of press releases and announcements but this one really grabbed me as being exceptionally clever.
