Marriott and G Holdings announced today the opening of the tallest hotel in North America

The new Courtyard Marriott New York/Manhattan/Central Park (yes, that’s the way the name appears on the website) located at 1717 Broadway at West 54th Street in midtown Manhattan opened today. The same building combines both a 378-room Marriott Courtyard hotel and a 261-suite Marriott Residence Inn.

The guest rooms of the Marriott Courtyard (on floors 6-33) feature modern designs with a contemporary feel with zones for working, sleeping, relaxing and getting ready. The Marriott Residence Inn (on floors 37-65) offers studio suites designed for stays of five nights or more. Each suite has a custom designed kitchenette with a coffeemaker, microwave oven and custom appliances.

“In addition to fabulous views, a stellar New York City location and amenities galore, our 21st century telecommunications, with free international phone calls, digital systems and hi-tech wiring, set these hotels far above the standard that business travelers and tourists expect.  We are proud to introduce these spectacular hotels to New York City,” says Harry Gross, President & Chief Executive Officer of G Holdings in a press release announcing the opening.
